Foundation Programme

Hello and Welcome

At the Sixth Form College we offer a Foundation Programme for you if you wish to climb the ladder of qualifications starting at Level 1. Our Foundation Programme has been specifically designed to offer you a range of skills which will give you a good foundation, upon successful completion, to progress onto a level 2 programme. This course combines modules in English, Communication Skills, Numeracy and ICT @ Work plus a module of your choice from Business Studies, Science and Sports/PE.

Why choose this subject...

If you anticipate passing your GCSEs with a range of E grades but wish to continue within education this course could be suitable for you. It is a good platform for progression to a Level 2 course from the basis of gaining a BTEC Level 1 qualification. This comprehensive course is assessed through unit tests, coursework and portfolios. It prepares you for progression to a range of Level 2 courses in the following year.
