The Maths Department has built on the success of the Senior Maths Challenge with students winning further awards with the Nuffield Foundation.
A team of AS & A2 Maths students from Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College took on other budding mathematicians in the regional heats of the UK Mathematics Trust Senior Team Challenge at Keele University.
Two students studying Maths A Level at the college spent their summer on work placement. On the 9th November, in recognition of their hard work, they were presented with the ‘British Science Association Gold Crest Award” (Creativity in Science & Technology) at Coventry University.
Four of the Sixth Form College’s finest mathematicians all put their heads together to compete in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge held at Keele University.
City of Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College Maths Teacher, Richard Collins, inspires student to reach the top three in Mathematics nationally.
Congratulations to the eight successful students who took part in this nationwide challenge.
