UK School Games Champions

The UK School Games is a multi-sport event for the UK’s elite young athletes- Four of our Volleyball students were selected to compete and came home with Gold Medals.

Volleyball Champs

Four of the college's Talented Athletes - Dan Williams formerly of Blurton High School, Rupert Scott, James Goodwin and Lucy Preston - all formerly of Madeley High School, were selected for the England Central Volleyball squad and competed in the UK Schools Games competition at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC).

The Competition

Ten different sports are combined into a four-day Games environment designed to replicate the feel of major event such as the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and Commonwealth Games.

Gold Medals

The England Central squad were crowned UK School Game Champions having won all 5 of their matches played.

Rupert Scott–was statistically the best setter in the tournament making the Super 6 squad. Super 6 are the best players based on their performance during the competition. Rupert is in the England Junior squad.

Dan William –has only being playing volleyball for 1 year!
