Laura Leaps off to LIPA

One of the Sixth Form College’s most talented performers, Laura Watson, a dancer and musician, as well as gifted academic, is progressing to LIPA to study Dance, after receiving a set of outstanding results this Summer.

Laura’s impressive results include three A grades, an A* and a Distinction* in Dance (Contemporary) BTEC. Laura studied a mixed programme of courses made up of A Levels and BTECs.

Consistently proving to be an inspirational dancer and a hardworking student, Laura has excelled in her studies and as a result she recieved offers to study Dance at some of the country’s most prestigious dance schools. Out of a range, Laura has chosen to study at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and she is thrilled.

About her time at College Laura said: “I aim to work in the dance industry as a dancer, knowing this my Dance teacher has worked with me to prepare for auditions and arranged performance opportunities at professional venues. After achieving an A*, three A grades and a Distinction*, I’ll be taking the next step toward my career goals by progressing onto LIPA to study Dance.”
