Team A
Callum, Bradley and Shaifur's choice of investment in Premier Foods was determined for a number of reasons.
1. Large restructuring of the business has taken place to tackle liabilities and put the business in the growth zone.
Michael Clarke, Premier's chief executive, said: "In recent weeks, we have set out our priorities and made significant leadership changes to strengthen our focus. We are now moving quickly to finalise our detailed growth plans to ensure we continue to build momentum in the business. This is an important step towards securing a longer-term financial foundation for the business."
2. Share prices of Premier Foods are at an all time low. This means we can expect high profits if their growth startegies are successful as share prices are likely to increase.
Team C
This week we decided that the best option was too sell the shares we had in Tomco Energy, mainly to do with a lack of communication which meant that the shares were not sold early enough and dropped substantially in value. No-one could see them turning it around in the short term. We have decided to keep the ASOS shares in hopes that they will rise in the weeks coming up to the Christmas holidays.
