Team A: Hi, we are Team A. There are two of us in our team, myself Bradley Ayres and Callum Jackson. Both of us are A2 Business Studies students and we are investing in the FTSE 100; these are the top 100 companies in the UK. We have invested in one major global UK Company, BP. The reason we invested are that we believe that they will be a solid share over the next 6 months and we will see our investment grow in this company. We bought these shares at £4.47

Team B: Hi, we are Team B. There are two of us in this team, myself Ben Thompson, and James Patterson. The market we are investing in is the FTSE 250; these are the top 250 UK companies in the UK. We have invested in two well known UK brands with the aim that the they will benefit from Christmas trade within their markets. We invested in Sports Direct, a market leader with a cost leadership strategy in the sports leisurewear market sector. We also invested in Ocado as the shares are well below their best. They have a differentiated premium strategy. We bought sports direct at £2.38 a share and Ocado at 87p.

Team C: Our market is different from the other two in that we were aiming to invest in companies who have the potential to improve profits, sales and market share. Our team members are Jack Tipper, Sam Law and myself Josh Phillips. We invested in Endace at £5.96 a share because they have started to develop there market share and achieved a profit this year. They area specialist IT network company. The second share we bought was Tomco at £2.58 per share and this is a US oil shale company. However this week Sam and Jack made a decision to sell Endace and buy ASOS shares at £13.05...good luck with that one over Christmas.
