At the end of last term, Archaeology & Classical Civilisation students visited the British Museum in London to bring their learning to life .
Exploring the exhibits and artefacts meant the group could relate directly to the course content to bring things to life. As the photographs and quotes show, a good time was had by all and the students were awed by the wealth of material the museum contained and the range of cultures represented .They are very keen to return to see the Hadrian exhibition, Edge of Empire. The groups also had a bit of free time to explore the area of London in the vicinity of the museum.
“I was on the floor taking pictures of the Egyptian mummies. It was so exciting to see them there in front of me!”
