Here at the Sixth Form College we have an extensive Maths Department with a course to suit your maths capability. Whether you’re a ‘Maths Whizz’ who could give Carol Vorderman a run for her money or you wish to work towards your Maths GCSE to get that all important C grade - we’ll have the maths course to suit you!

Why choose this subject...

Gaining a qualification in mathematics is a necessary foundation for a wide range of careers and professions and is highly valued in a whole host of degree disciplines in particular Maths, Sciences, Business related courses and Engineering.

Don’t underestimate the value of a good GCSE grade in Maths, it is highly valued by universities and employers alike.

  • If you wish to choose a Level 3 course at the Sixth Form College you can choose to focus on a Mechanics or Statistics option.
  • Or A Level Further Maths which will showcase your in depth knowledge and true interest in the subject and set you apart from others when competing for the more popular university courses in particular Maths Degree.
  • If you wish to study a level 2 maths course you can choose GCSE Maths or Free Standing Maths qualification
