The students were given a task to work in groups to create a cast of a footprint. Each group was to make a footprint in a tray of soil and then create a cast of that footprint using 'Plaster of Paris'…. The entire group had great fun at trying to get the perfect cast.

Abbas Akhtar, formerly of Edensor High School & Technology College, joined the Sixth Form College on the Foundation Programme. Abbas has now successfully progressed to the Level 2 in Science and is really enjoying the course.

“I really like the fact that we are doing ‘real-life’ experiments and learning by actually taking part in hands-on experiments. I think this style of learning definitely helps me to remember things more, as you are living the experience and it is much more memorable.”
