City of Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College Mixed Volleyball Team SMASH their way to victory in the final of 'British Colleges Mixed Volleyball' Competition.

Mixed Volleyball Team - National Champions 2008/2009

On Wednesday 25th March 2009, the City of Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College played host to the final of the British Colleges Mixed Volleyball Competition.

Beating off stiff regional competition, teams from Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College, Southport, Middlesborough, Peter Symonds, SEEVIC College all qualified to the final of the national competition.

Stoke started the day against their toughest competitors, Southport, and beat them 2-0. They continued their winning streak with a full house - winning every game they played!!!

The team cannot celebrate for too long as they are now all training for ‘The National Colleges Championships in Loughborough’ next weekend, where we hope they will be back on form and continue this success story!

The Sixth Form men’s and the ladies team have qualified for the ‘National Cup Final’. The ladies will play at home on 29th April and the men’s team will play in Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College on 22nd April.
