The Advanced Diploma in Engineering was launched across the City in September 2008. The first cohort of students to take this course, have worked throughout the year with their link teacher, Simon Mansell, and professionals from JCB to take part in the Young Enterprise Scheme as part of their Diploma.
The group of 12 students have set up a business as part of the scheme. They are called ‘Revolve’ and they are very proud of their innovative product.
Richard Key, current student, formerly of Brownhills High School, was elected by the group to become the Managing Director of Revolve.
Richard collected the ‘Innovation Award for Stoke on Trent’ which the team won over eight other teams in the competition.
