This is an important consideration when you are planning your future career, it helps you to understand where future growth is predicted to be which means better employment opportunities. We are always looking for local employers to support Sixth Form College Students by offering work experience opportunities.
Students across all courses benefit enormously from a short period of work experience of between 5 and 10 days (either in week blocks or 1 day per week). This time provides students with an insight into a business and sector, in order to help them gain some entry-level skills, to experience the ‘soft-skills’ required in the workplace and to help build confidence. Work experience is also a useful tool to help students to identify where their future career interests lie and is therefore invaluable in its contribution to our students at this stage of their education.
