At the College students have not just done well academically – they have also taken part in sport, music, peer mentoring, fundraising, work experience and a host of other exciting opportunities and activities that help to develop their overall confidence and employability skills.
The College is non-selective and provides opportunities for Advanced Level study to students across a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. We provide the opportunity for excellence and achievement whilst also ensuring continuous personal development. The proportion of level 3 students progressing to higher education has increased over the past four years and is above the national trend. Our students are also successful in gaining employment and further training on the basis of their achievements in the sectors that are a regional priority.
College Principal Mark Kent offered his warmest congratulations to all students on their success. He commented;
“We are delighted with another set of excellent results for our students in Stoke and North Staffordshire.”
“Our aim is to support every student; once again our students demonstrate that hard work, effort and commitment pay off. We are really proud of the hard work students, staff, former schools and families have committed to achieve so well and set them up for their future success.”
“It is pleasing to see that the College has maintained our excellent performance in 56 academic and vocational courses. We take a pride in providing students with a caring atmosphere in which to develop as a person. We recognise that each student is an individual and our aim is to offer a pathway to success that best meets their needs, be it an academic or vocational course or mix of the two.”
“I would also like to acknowledge the work and commitment of all the staff at College who have played a significant part in helping to prepare and support students in order that they achieve their full potential”.
