CSI STOKE-ON-TRENT

Public Services and Psychology students teamed up and headed over to Staffordshire University’s Crime Scene House and Lab for a forensic science experience day. Around 30 students attended the day and took part in a variety of ‘who dunnit’ simulations!

Working in pairs, the students entered a variety of rooms and a ‘blood room’ with a simulated corpse in each and were tasked with working out the circumstances that caused the death. The students had to analyse the position of the corpse, any obvious injuries, take into consideration the position of all items in the room and start to piece together the circumstances of the death.

This was a fantastic opportunity for students to consider a different career avenue that their current courses could lead them to.
