Planned Practice Lockdown Drill

Dear All

You will have received communications earlier today [Thursday 6th February] of prior notice that the City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College was holding a PLANNED PRACTICE lockdown drill.

This was to ensure that staff and students are aware of what to do in the unlikely event that the college should need to take the decision to go on lockdown in response to a real situation/threat and also to review our current processes to ensure the continued safety of all staff and students.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and cooperation during this successful practice drill. We are pleased to report a smooth process for staff and students.

All emergency services, key stakeholders of the college and local press were informed of the drill prior to it taking place. If you hear of any reports of the college going into lockdown via social media and news outlets, please be assured that this was planned drill and all staff and students of the college are safe and well.

Thank you for your support
