New for 2018 – the Sixth Form College now delivers the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh award!
To celebrate this exciting new part of our enrichment programme, the College invited year 9 students from Thistly Hough high school to take part in a session ran by Public Services tutor Lacho Kralev.
The students spent the afternoon at the College learning basic orienteering and map reading skills which they then applied to a walk/hike around a local nature reserve.
The students discovered the basic of outdoor expedition skills which they will now apply to completing he Bronze D of E award at school, which we hope they will then top up by taking the silver award when they become College students.
