A Level

Course Overview

The course enables students to get a deeper understanding of the German Language , Society and Culture while studying Literature and a Film.  

Lessons are in the Target Language which students get used to very quickly. We focus on the four main skills of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. This course will provide you with excellent communication skills which are useful in future careers in general.

To succeed in A Level German, you should have a solid grasp of GCSE grammar and topics, as well as the confidence to speak in front of others. A genuine interest in Germany, its culture, and society is essential for developing both your language skills and cultural understanding.

German A Level opens doors to a wide range of opportunities. Many students continue their studies at university, either specialising in German or combining it with another subject such as Business, Law, History, or International Relations. Strong language skills are highly valued in careers including translation, teaching, diplomacy, law, finance, journalism, and international business.
