Is this course right for me?

This course is ideal for students who love video games and want to understand how they are made. You don’t need prior experience, just creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. An interest in drawing, storytelling, problem-solving, or experimenting with technology is helpful, but the most important factor is a genuine passion for exploring the world of game design and development.

Why study this with us?

On the Digital Games Production (BTEC Extended Certificate), you’ll design and build 2D and 3D games using industry-standard software such as Unreal Engine 5.6 and GameMaker Studio. Learning is practical and project-based, giving you the chance to tackle real-world design challenges while developing a professional portfolio.

You’ll be supported by expert tutors and have opportunities to take part in enrichment activities like game jams, workshops, and trips to gaming events or studios.
